So i done a little testing and Google and here is a little howto on getting GTA ready for modding.First of all you don' t need to mess with your Steam version. Create a new folder in c:/program files - Create ' Rockstar Games ' folder2.

Copy the full ' Grand Theft Auto San Andreas ' folder from your Steam directory ( in my case: C:Program FilesSteamSteamAppscommonGrand Theft Auto San Andreas ) to the new ' Rockstar Games ' folderNow we're ready to mess with GTA, if something fails, just delete it and do step 1 & 2 again.3. The most important part. Get a GTASA.exe file v1.0 - because it's also a no cd crack i can't post the link but just google for ' hoodlum.exe ' and get it from one of the forums/blogspots.4. Copy the new GTASA.exe to the Grand Theft Auto San Andreas folder (not the Steam folder of GTA SA ofcourse but the created/copied one) - if you want you can delete the other.exe file, just be sure to select the copied.exe when you mod or play GTA SA.FINISHED! Now search for some mods (i tested it with multiplayer mod: and with a police mod: (register first) and they both work. For separate problems. I'm no modding expert so ask in their respective forums;).

Gtasa.exe is a processNon-system processes like gtasa.exe originate from software you installed on your system. Since most applications store data on your hard disk and in your system's registry, it is likely that your computer has suffered fragmentation and accumulated invalid entries which can affect your PC's performance. In Windows Task Manager, you can see what CPU, memory, disk and network utilization is causing the gtasa process. To access the Task Manager, hold down the Ctrl + Shift + Esc keys at the same time. These three buttons are located on the far left of your keyboard.

This process is not considered CPU intensive. However, running too many processes on your system may affect your PC’s performance. To reduce system overload, you can use the Microsoft System Configuration Utility (MSConfig) or the Windows Task Manager to manually find and disable processes that launch upon start-up.Use the Windows Resource Monitor to find out which processes and applications write/read the most on the hard drive, send the most data to the Internet, or use the most memory.
